Cade's school had a Zoo Day on May 28th. We had to be there in Denver at 915am. Of course I try to leave on time, get in the car, forget the keys, get back in the car forget the cell phone, then someone needs a drink, and the entire way to the Zoo Cade is screaming because he wants his window down cause he's hot, then he's cold, so he wants his window up. Did I mention that I have to listen to Alan Jacksons "Small Town Southern Man" over and over again? Because King Cade loves that song. And when Teagan asks to listen to Taylor Swift he freaks out, but he will still sing along to her songs. We get to the zoo at 930 as his class is walking in. I am running to catch up, my 10.00 umbrella stroller keeps getting stuck on all the sidewalk parts that are coming up, and the wheels dont turn the right way, so I am always getting pissed off at that stroller, but its a lot easier then carrying a 50 pound 4 year old! Anyway, a nice lady gave me a free pass to get in (12.00 for 1 adult, 9.00 for Teagan) and Cades teacher lied for me and told them Teagan was in kindergarten, so I didn't have to pay a dime (until the train rides and carosel sucks your kids in). Teagan starts almost crying because she doesn't want to be a kindergartener, she is a big 3rd grader now! Anyway, we walk in with his class and thats it. We dont see them until we meet for lunch at 1130, which we had to bring. During our trip we saw these monkeys. They are cute until they turn around, and have these really nasty red butts. Well when my kids got up on the glass to look at them, the little boy monkey (you can tell) starts trying to attack the kids! Its really funny, because they cannot harm the kids. We found out why the male monkey was mad at the little kids. And needless to say our zoo/church school kids got a lesson on sex-ed. So we left shortly after that, with all the kids laughing, and us parents laughing too.
