In one Ear out the other

I am so annoyed at my own voice! I have really thought this week about taking Cade into have his hearing checked. I yell at him "CADE" in the grocery store, the pool, the park, the car, the house, ANYWHERE...He seriously doesn't hear me. My friends call his name, nothing, no response! But as soon as you say Cade no Batman toy, Iron Man or Indiana Jones, he perks right up. Teagan is the same way, although she is lazy. She thinks the trash can is the floor, and when I say pick up your toys, she throws them out of my sight. Her idea of cleaning is putting all the toys under her bed, in her closet, or around the edges of the room. The newest thing she does to piss me off is she when she gets out of the shower she does not use a towel! Seriously she walks out the bathroom, dripping water all down the hall way, into her room and gets dressed! I know this because when I go to check on her my socks get all wet. I asked Teagan to take the clean towels down to her bathroom, and she just sets them down upstairs by her basket and waits for the "fairy mom" to take care of it. Cade is really into Indiana Jones right now and wears this straw hat, and carries one of Conley's old shoe laces around as his whip. It is so funny. Yesterday at JCPenny he was whipping the cashier's station with his whip. One day he is Batman, the next he is Aragorn from Lord of the Rings, or Jack Sparrow, now Indiana Jones. I guess boys will be boys! I can't wait until he thinks he is the Incredible Hulk. Well its bed time here, and quiet for the moment!

Tuesday

Hi everyone! I hope you are enjoying my blog! Today was nothing really different. I have finally made my Utah-Idaho plans. I will be leaving on June 21st and driving to Utah to visit my aunt Sherri, and also my great aunt Karma, and Teri Armstrong. I love going to Utah, that is what my summers have been like since I can remember. Ever since I was old enough to walk I have been "shipped" off to my aunts house! We have had some great memories, and I really do love my aunt. She has been like a mom to me in the past few years. I will be in Utah until Tuesday or Wednesday the 25th, and then drive up to Shelley Idaho.

I got a call today from a man interested in the glass house, our condo downtown. Please cross your fingers that it will work out! I posted a new add on craigslist (love craigslist) because our retard realtor hasn't updated anything (why can't we just get a realtor who wants to sell something?) He seemed very interested and wante to go look at the place tonight. I made a few calls and got him all set up to look at it, and hopefully he will call me in the next few days. I think my grandma Jane is haunting me to become a realtor...Am I crazy or what? Next thing you know I will be "Hoskins Realty, INC" HAHA I am making a name for myself! Actually just fed up with waiting around for NOTHING!

We did go to Elitches today. I met up with my friend Carla. She is so funny, and makes me laugh. I also met up with my friend "S" (we all know who she is, if you know me you know her, but she still wants to be anonymous) The kids all played in our hot(cold) tub. "S" and I looked all over the dang house for Cades squirt gun, because he freaks out about one little thing and needs it now! We both were inside the house, outside the house, down the stairs, etc..Finally after they were done in the hot tub I found the guns in the sink, near the laundry room. I think I did forget that I put them there after the kids would not stop squirting the dog and cat before we left this morning. (Sorry Teagan for yelling at you...She kept saying mom you took them away from us, and I had already taken the guns away this morning once, and I must have forgotten I took them away again..Either getting old, or having memory loss at 28) After the squirt gun incident I had to find the famous Batman mask, and yes the drama began all over. I sware I am going to permanently sew that cape on to Cade and super glue the mask to his face! Well I better go to bed! Goodnight everyone!!

Our Weekend

Friday night the kids went to my mom's house for a sleepover. Before their sleepover we made necklaces. Cade kept telling me "Mom I know how to put a string on beads my teacher taught me how" And then Teagan kept crying because her string wouldn't go in her beads. I go get the scissors and she cries harder because she thinks I am going to cut her necklace.

Saturday we went to the gym, and I went to get the kids after that. Teagan was given a Barbie fishing pole, because I LOVE to take them fishing. So the whole way home I hear why did Teagan get a fishing pole mom and I got nothing? I said I don't know Cade ask grandma. He says Teagan always gets things and I get nothing. He was sad about that, but had a great time with his grandma Marilyn. After we got home we went to the grocery store (my favorite place) and I bought Rockies tickets and a few items. After the grocery store I met up with the kids' best friends and we took them to the Brighton Culture Fest, and should be renamed "free" fest. We got so many free things, frisbees, ballons, paper,pens,candy, hats, water bottles, thermometers, sunscreen,bandaids, etc...The kids went on a fire truck, and at the end tried to beat each other up with these plastic swords. BTW my 10.00 stroller will have to be replaced, since the strap could not hold Cade's heavy legs anymore! So the whole time I am walking, and cursing at my stroller and telling Cade to pick up his feet or his ankles will break!

The Rockies game was fun. It was windy, and we kept getting peanuts in our hair from the inconsiderate jerks behind us, but we had fun. Conley bought the kids miniture bats after, and we were fighting about it yesterday because I told him I can't believe we got them the bats. He said I got the bats Alycia, and I said well you don't have to be home with them all day beating each other up! So far both bats have been taken away, and given back. This sums up our weekend!
